Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed the 10th standard can apply for this position.
Pay Scale: Level 2 (Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200)

Major Changes in Physical Eligibility and Test
The government recently simplified the physical test rules. Now, men will only have to complete a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes. Women will have to complete a 1600-meter run in 10 minutes.

Height and Chest Criteria:
Male (UR/EWS/EBC): Height 160 cm, Chest 81 cm (expanded)
Male (SC/ST): Height 155 cm, Chest 79 cm
Female (All Categories): Height at least 148 cm

Age Limit:
General Category: 18 to 25 years
OBC Male: 2 years relaxation
Female Candidates (UR, EBC, EWS): 3 years relaxation
SC/ST Male and Female: 5 years relaxation

Selection Process
Candidates for these positions will be selected based on a written examination (Objective Type), Physical Standards and Efficiency Test (PET/PST), and a medical test.

Assistant Jailor Vacancy 2025 – Recruitment for 42 Posts
JSSC has also announced recruitment for 42 posts for the Assistant Jailor Competitive Examination 2025.

Educational Qualification: Graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-5 (₹29,200 to ₹92,300)

Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected for this position based on a written examination, physical efficiency test, and medical examination.

Written Exam Pattern
If more than 50,000 candidates pass the physical examination, a preliminary examination will be conducted; otherwise, the Main examination will be conducted directly.

Question Paper Format
– All questions will be of an objective type.
– Each correct answer will carry 3 marks, and an incorrect answer will carry 1 mark.
– Except for language subjects, all questions will be in both Hindi and English.
