House of Guinness is on Netflix and the historical drama byPeaky Blinders creator Steven Knight tells thetrue story of the Guinness family.
The Guinness siblings are forced to take over their father's legacy following his death, and they are guided by the brewery foreman, Sean Rafferty, who was made up entirely for the show.
James Norton mastered the Irish accent as he plays the fictional character, starring alongside Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, Louis Partridge as Edward and Emily Fairn as Anne Guinness.
Speaking at a Q&A following a screening of the series, Norton unveiled a clever detail by costume designer Edward K. Gibbon when it came to Rafferty's outfits.
He said: "Edward found out one of my buckles was a remnant from a military medal and he sewed the ribbon into my inner pocket.

"So every time I reach for a cigarette, I just brush this little piece of material.
"It was a nod to the fact that Rafferty had this military background, it just gives you a sense of how thorough the detail was in the show."
On what excited him most about his character, he said: "He was a gift, a dream. Every scene Rafferty is silhouetted in front of a wall or window smoking a cigarette.
"He would turn and the camera pans in and the music swells and I realised I didn't have to do anything accept look f****** cool.
"Rafferty is an enigma, a complex mix of contradictions. He's a brilliant man, he's full of integrity and yet he's a violent man.

"There was lots to reach into, all the kind of corners of this unsolvable puzzle."
Rafferty’s silver hoop earring has also caught the attention of fans, and Norton revealed that was his decision.
Norton first got an earring aged 18 and eventually left the style behind, but re-pierced his ear two years ago.
He told Netflix's Tudum: “Since then, every time I sit with the costume and makeup departments, I’m like, ‘Do you want me to keep the earring? Or do you want me to get rid of it?’"
“[Edward] was like, ‘I think it’s f****** cool. It works'."
