If you're thinking about getting a dog, you'll want to make sure you go for one that's easy to train. Not least when it comes to puppies for a first time owner.
Doing your research is crucial and just by following a few simple tips, you can make sure you'll have a pet that's compatible with your lifestyle. Tom Davis, a dog trainer on YouTube, has shared the three toughest dog breeds to train.
Taking to the platform, in a video, he says a Shiba Inu is one of the hardest dogs to train.
The expert says: "Shibas are beautiful, nice looking creatures, they come from Japan."
He says they started off as hunting dogs for small game such as rabbits.
Tom adds: "Shibas are extremely sensitive, they're really more like cats than any other dog breed that I've ever worked with."
He says the dog is stubborn and describes how this breed will need constant attention from its owner.
Second on his list is the Siberian Husky. Tom says: "The Siberian Husky is a working dog but it's not a dog that wants to do obedience.
"They are very beautiful and hard working dogs but only in the things they want to do."
He adds that the dogs sometimes scream and can be stubborn when an owner asks them to do something they don't want to do.
Third and finally on the list is the Great Dane. Tom says: "This is going to give some controversy because people love Great Danes and it's a popular breed."
He says this breed of dog doesn't like to do some things that owners might need to do and says the large dog can become aggressive which makes for an "absolute nightmarish disaster".
By following Tom's advice and taking into account which type of dog might be best suited to you, you won't face any challenges when it comes to your pet.
